At an event at King's Island Tony (Tony & Tyler blog) mentioned that Cedar Point will be getting new interactive fountains to take the place of the sphere fountain on the main midway. The fate of the sphere fountain is unkown, but is rumored to be relocated somewhere in the park (maybe on the Blue Streak midway)

A few years ago there was a rumor about doing that. It was more than a rumor actually. It was listed in the list of things being updated on the main midway. I think it was the year they did the games updates. I'm not sure why at the last minute they didn't do the project. On a few of the CP boards people were really slamming them for getting rid of the fountain.
I know Epcot has a jumping fountain that is a pretty good success.
I hope its a pretty exciting addition. |
