Shoot the Rapids will make a splash in 2010 at Cedar Point. The ride will be located on the Frontier Trail across from the the petting zoo. The ride will have two lifthills/drops and will cross over the lagoon onto Millinnium Island.
Do you like how the ride looks
Are you pleased with the announcement
I will not judge a ride I have yet to see or ride, but I will say I think the ride is very cool looking and looks to be a good addition to Cedar Point. I will definitly ride it next year but I'm kind of worried about the soakingness of the ride. I guess I would have to see it before I can talk about the splash factor. _________________ Too Fast For You...Top Thrill 120mph

I agree on that one. It looks cool but it seems like it is an over the top soaker ride.
One of my favorite parts of white water landings was the potential to walk off with just being a little wet.
This one looks like its going to soak you all over.
I'm hoping the theming is pretty good. The Maverick turned out pretty good.
It's also pretty neat they used the Shoot the Rapids name again. Paying a small tribute to that attraction. One of the things I noticed at Halloweekends is that they were digging up the grave near the Shoot the Rapids head stone near the front of the park.
I wonder if that is that is them resurrecting it. There are moon shine bottles all around it.
Pretty neat announcement all in all. |

Well I guess we will all have to wait and see about the soak factor. I never road White Water Landing but have rode log flumes like it and I like how they dont get you too wet.
So you went to Halloweekends this year? How was it? _________________ Too Fast For You...Top Thrill 120mph

Halloweekend's is pretty great this year. If I can get there this weekend I'll take some pictures and post them. They've done a pretty good job. I've been there the last two weekends.
The new haunted houses are over the top. Really well done. Not as scary as some I have been in, but the theme is awesome. The attention to detail is terrific. I have to say they are pretty close to Disney level as far as detail and theme. Cedar Point isn't noted for theming but they pulled this one off.
I expected Saturdays to be packed the closer it gets to Halloween. Fridays and Sundays are still pretty thin. |

I'm planning to go the 10th. I know it will be crowded but it is the only avalible day in October.
I'm really looking forward to the haunted houses this year. Last year I thought Club Blood was pretty good and am really excited to see Toy Factory and Estate. We are probably going to do the dinner at the Estate (if space is still avalible when I call Monday). I'll write a review about it and maybe a few pics too.
This Halloweekends seems to be the best year so far. _________________ Too Fast For You...Top Thrill 120mph
