Maverick Won't Open on Opening Day and Various Topics

Cedar Point announced that the Maverick coaster will not be open on Cedar Points opening day this season. Three sections of track need to be replaced. Cedar Point is hoping that it will be open in early june. With that said I know the Maverick was running tests last weekend. So this must be a major dissappointment to the Cedar Point staff.

On a visit to the Season Pass center I heard many comments about the new parking pass policy. You can no longer get a sticker for your vehicle. The parking pass must go on your season pass card. One individual was very upset because she now had to get two parking passes. Her and husband would take the kids at different times but use the same car. She was upset having to get an additional pass. I think to most travelers or long distance season pass holders this won't make a difference. The mostly effects local season pass holders.

The season pass center is more equipment than years in the past. The line moves very fast. Cedar Point really needed to change what they were doing. Every year I dredded standing in line.
