Smooth Second Weekend

Cedar Point's second weekend appeared to be a smooth one. Saturday was outrageously busy with ton's of bands visiting from all over. With the amount of buses in the parking lot it was obvious that it was going to be busy. Here are the news worthy items Cedar Point items:

Maverick - As reported by many people, the troubled piece of Maverick track has been removed. A side effect is that the pond that was full under the track had to be drained and a crane was placed in it. It appears to be some type of fountain in the water that has yet to be turned on.

Chaos - The Chaos was not operating this weekend. It is in a slightly raised position. There was a posted sign out side of park operations stating it would be closed.

Hot Summer Lights - There was a ton of progress this week on the installation of the equipment for the summer light and music show in the Iron Dragon midway. The configuration suggests that it will be similar to last years show in effects.

Crowds on Sunday were light but normal for this part of the year. The 7pm closing time at Cedar Point usually draws smaller crowds.
