Dismal Days of Bad Weather at Cedar Point

Cedar Point has been plagued with bad weather the last couple weeks. Right at the time when things are going great it get’s hit with rain and lightning, which neither does well with coasters that are made of steel.

So what do you do at Cedar Point in the rain? There are ton of things to entertain folks during a thunder storm or rain. Check out some of the great Arcades that are located through out the park. Head to the main arcade located in the Coliseum located towards the front of the park to place some new and some classic games. There are few sit down restaurants in side the park with some great live Cedar Point entertainment. If that’s not your thing, then located right out side the Cedar Point rear gate is Friday’s near the Breakers Hotel. Also, make sure to visit the museum in the back of the park near Sky Hawk.

So what is the policy about Coaster being open or closed? That’s a big depends on the coaster and depends on the weather. Generally if it’s raining don’t expect to ride on Top Thrill Dragster. Several coasters run during light rain. When lightening is near Cedar Point, expect none of the coasters to be running. Hey, it’s for safety. I’m sure Cedar Point doesn’t want any roasted guests. All of Cedar Point’s policies are subject to change any time. If you’re concerned make sure you ask before you enter the park. You’ll notice during that if they are forecasting bad weather Cedar Point put’s up nice little warning signs that say no refunds due to bad weather.

Bottom line, don’t let rain spoil your day at Cedar Point. Buy one of those terrific Cedar Point ponchos and look like a yellow duck and explore the point.
