Point Fans Cedar Point Update for Week Ending 6/10

I had a very uneventful week this week. I only got to CP twice this week. That should be getting better this week. My goal is to be to Cedar Point just about every day (even if it’s just a drive by.)

We noticed one change in the Cedar Point front games area. The poker game where you could win one of the slot machines was replaced with the catch the pinball machines. It appears either folks were winning too much or it just wasn’t getting the traffic. I noticed the rules on the game changed at least once since the beginning of the season. Some folks were thinking 5 of a kind was to land a chip on the same card five times. Which from watching it I think would be pretty easy. So I know they banned that early on.

The Cedar Point crowd was pretty intense Saturday. The main parking lot was filled almost to the back. This is a pretty good Saturday crowd, not a sell out, but better than we’ve seen most of the season so far.

Sunday was what I would consider fairly light. The main lot was about half filled. Considering the weather, I expected the crowd to be pretty heavy. Also, the Cedar Point Pepsi discount can’s are all around now. Make sure to pick up one and to save some $$$ on a daily admission if you don’t have a season pass.

Once again the Joe Cool special entrance was in place by the Demon Drop. I still think this a terrific idea even if you could always go that way. One thing we noticed is that the gates were set up differently this morning out near the Sky Ride. This may be to easy the running of the bulls traffic. I didn’t hang around to find out. We were on our way to the back of the park by the time the park officially opened to all.

On a side note, we have been adding a ton of Cedar Point pictures to the photo galleries. You may notice some titles being strange until I get them all worked out. I know I have a few thousand of them laying around going back several years.
