I got to spend part of Saturday and Sunday at Cedar Point to take a peek at this years HalloWeekends 2007. I'll do a bigger review in the next couple weeks along with some pictures, but here are some brief highlights:
1) Decorations: I would have to say the park was setup pretty much like last year. There isn't an area of the park that doesn't have something decorated for Halloween.
2) Haunted Houses: Seem to also be consistent with last year. (To review Cedar Point has 3 haunted houses set up for Halloweekends.
3) Iron Dragon Midway: The big projection screen was showing the baseball game up on it for sports fans. I also got to watch a song or two of the band that was playing Saturday night. They were really good.
4) Fogged Walkways (Fright Zone, etc.). I would have to say this were pretty good as usually. Nothing overly new here.
5) Parade: I didn't actually see the parade, but did see they have built a float building next to Disaster Transport and have lost part of the parking lot in that area as a result.
6) Roaming Monsters: Friendly and Interesting. I have to say the Saturday night roamers throughout the park were pretty good. Nothing really scary but cool.
Crowds: Saturday night it started to fill up. I would say 3/4 crowd. Expect it to get to 100% the closer it gets to Halloween. Sunday was around 1/4 to 1/2. It was really light and a good ride day.
Look for more updates soon. I need to sample more of the live entertainment and give you a great review.
