Cedar Point Now Hiring For 2008 Summer Season
SANDUSKY, Ohio, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cedar Point amusement park/resort, home of the Maverick roller coaster and the world's largest collection of rides and roller coasters, is now hiring for its 139th summer. More than 4,000 jobs are available at the park voted the "Best Amusement Park in the World" for a record ten consecutive years by the readers of Amusement Today newspaper. Have you ever wanted to operate the Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster, get guests excited about playing the ring toss, or serve the best French fries with a smile? Jobs like these are now available.
Other positions available at Cedar Point include marina dockhand, lifeguard, merchandise associate, admissions employee, parking/tolls attendant, hotel clerk and more. Internships are also available in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Recreation, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Human Resources and many more.
Cedar Point offers a great wage package and bonus program. Most positions start at $7 per hour. Employees under 16 years old will earn $5.80 an hour. Employees who fulfill the terms of their Employment Agreement will be eligible for the Bonus Program, allowing employees to earn an extra 35 cents per hour worked. From Sept. 8 though Nov. 2, the bonus will increase to $1 per hour for employees age 16 and older who work during the park's HalloWeekends event and successfully complete their employee contract.

Cedar Point will also be holding open interviews in Sandusky at the park's Breakers Express Hotel, 1201 Cedar Point Drive, on the following dates:
Saturday, Jan. 12: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 2: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, March 1: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, April 5: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
